Input Lag is Significantly Worse When Enabled

Was spending some time trying to figure out why my NixVim installation was running slower, enabling and disabling just about everything until looking at this plugin. Nothing else makes a difference besides just completely disabling TS. I'm not sure if this is typical / to be expected, but just thought I should leave an issue.

Yeah, I'm not surprised that there's a non-negligible performance impact in some cases. Could you share a file where it's noticeable? Maybe there's something specific I can optimize somehow.
