Hide or open tab on previous location

Hello, firstly thank you for this amazing project, I tried other alternatives but I loved this one. But I have a problem/question.

Now, in our app, we want to have a tab that will persist always but could be hidden. So, it is like a tab that you can close and open. Because I wasn't able to find a way to hide the tab, I made a script like this;

Now, for most cases, when I close, I can get the location and when opening I can use it, but is there any more safe way to do it?
