Visualization of transcripts

Wonderful software, once more!

I was wondering if it is in your plans to add visualization of transcripts as points, rather than expression in cells, since this is something that CosMx, MERSCOPE, and Xenium offer in their proprietary solutions, but currently can't be implemented. I would be glad to help if you are planning on implementing it at any point.

Hi Nikolas, that's something I want as well. Unfortunately, with the current implementation of the overlays, performance begins to suffer at >100,000 points. I do have plans to utilize PMTiles to chunk points in a hierarchical manner similar to what I did with the images (like Google Maps labels). Hopefully that will be up in the next couple of months.
