How to fall back on global arguments

Say I want to have a --verbose flag on my tool that applies to all subcommands. I want prog --verbose subcomand and prog subcommand --verbose to be identical because a user will expect it to be that way, but I don't want to copy paste all the global flags into each subcommand and then write flattening logic after... Is there a way to have clap recognize that flags "inside" a subcommand can also set global flags?

Right now I'm "working around" it by just saying at the top of the help message that flags have to be specified before the subcommand.

You can use Arg::global.

I have and ctrl-fed for global then asked this question, then I went for structopt's (which I actually use) docs and did the same and found global = true in one of the #[structopt]s two seconds ago so I guess I should've dug a bit deeper myself :P

Yeah for some reason I thought ctrl-f used the smart search, I don't use docs.rs very often. TY for the help though :)
