Permission Denied on Image Re-load

I am currently having an odd issue where when opening a project, the program requests I select the RGB file (.tiff) from the directory. When I select the file (it is the same name and file as previous used), it indicates that it could not be loaded because the permission is denied.

This occurs even if the project file and image files are copied elsewhere on the computer, and on other devices there is no issue and it opens normally. This also appears to only be select project/image files, others open normally on this device.

Is there anything that needs to be done to the files or their location to allow these filed to opened on this device?

Your project looks like it's in a OneDrive (locally), and the error has some "../../../"

When you open the CRP_080.json in a text editor (after making a copy), could you try modifying some of the fields? You're getting an error about permission being denied, which might be less about TagLab, and more about your computer's settings.

Thanks @Jordan-Pierce , I did try this and encountered no issues modifying the .json file in a text editor. However, the .json file does seem to open in TagLab, it is the process of opening the .TIF image file that the error comes up.

I have checked the image files and confirmed they have no security or read/write permission restrictions, but it does seem to happen only for select files, others open normally. For these files, this error occurs regardless of where the file is located (cloud drive or harddrive).

Can you try to test the location of the file, vs the file itself:

• grab a copy of an image that does open properly
• make a copy of the image that doesn't open properly
• place both in the folder where the original image sits
• see which opens and doesn't open

• don't load the existing TagLab JSON project
• trying opening ^those images
