Description
⚬ PROBLEM: Sometimes I subscribe to a channel for a particular video series, but I'm not interested in the rest of their content — e.g. a podcast which also uploads way too many clips. On the flipside, sometimes I subscribe to a channel because I enjoy most of their content, except there is a particular video series which annoys me — e.g. a reactor who shares my taste in television, but also watches a certain highly trending show that I'm sick to death of hearing about.
⚬ SOLUTION: Per channel whitelist and blacklist filters with user-defined keywords.
⚬ ALTERNATIVES: If for some reason user-defined keyword filters cannot be implemented, then perhaps they can be configured around YouTube's existing video tags?
⚬ RELEVANCE / SCOPE: There are already so many extensions for hiding Shorts, Livestreams, previously watched videos, etc that I'm certain anything which helps cut down on needless scrolling would be a welcome feature.
⚬ "SIDE EFFECTS": This would compliment the extension's existing Blocklist feature, which can only block entire channels or specific videos. I foresee no conflict with the extension's other functions.
⚬ CONTEXT: I've scoured Firefox's browers add-ons, but the only extension which does exactly this hasn't been updated in years and no longer functions. It even had the option to apply filters universally to all channels. See: Subscription Filter by Kallocain
