How to monitor a process using monner, externally?

Can we start a process / program in a separate shell (e.g. an Application Server) and then request monner to monitor it by giving the PID or the name of the process?

Hey, this is a feature someone else has asked for. I'm open to the idea I just don't have much time to add it right now... Happy to merge in a pull request implementing this though :)
