Hello Helper-Scripts Community,
I am MacRimi, the creator of the ProxMenu project: https://github.com/MacRimi/ProxMenux. ProxMenu aims to create a help menu from the Proxmox console to facilitate the execution of various scripts, simplifying the process for users. The project is still in development, with new features in progress.
First of all, I want to express my gratitude for the work done on the Proxmox VE Helper-Scripts project. This has been an invaluable reference for the community, with tteck's legacy serving as both a beautiful tribute and an excellent contribution to Proxmox users.
The goal of ProxMenu is to add another option to assist with Proxmox scripts. My proposal is as follows:
1- Incorporating Proxmox VE Helper-Scripts into ProxMenu.
I believe it would be a fantastic option to include the Proxmox VE Helper-Scripts in ProxMenu, categorized in the same order as in the current repository. This would allow users to easily access the scripts directly from the menu. If this is feasible, I suggest that before exiting the menu, a message like the following be displayed:
"Don't forget to visit https://community-scripts.github.io/ProxmoxVE"
This would be a way to acknowledge the work done and allow us to continue contributing to the project if the scripts are included in ProxMenu."
2- Inclusion of specific scripts in ProxMenu.
I would also like to explore the possibility of adding specific scripts to ProxMenu, such as those related to backups or hardware acceleration integration in an LXC. I would like to know if the community thinks this approach is a good idea and whether it's feasible to integrate any such scripts. I would always make sure to credit Proxmox VE Helper-Scripts as the source.
Thank you for all the great work done for the Proxmox community. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.
