Is there a tiny Linux distro with Internet, sound and apt package manager for the JS client-side only version of v86?

Hi MB,
I would recommend either alpine or tinycore linux. They don't have the apt package manager but apt runs so slow in v86 so it doesn't really matter. tinycore is the smallest and boot the fastest. It is a little slower once its booted and it does not support 9p. http://www.tinycorelinux.net/ Alpine is the other alternative. It take a while to boot (10 min.) but once booted it is relativity fast due to its architecture. https://www.alpinelinux.org/ Tinycore comes with the tce which is not a traditional package manager. Alpine comes with apk which is kind of like apt. I would recommend against debian and debian based distros because they run slow and use systemd which times out on boot and uses a lot more cpu.

One debian-based system that might be OK to use is antiX linux because systemd is not used (uses either sysV or runit) and it is lightweight (~ alpine). I got both the "net" and "core" 386 runit isos to boot to a command line.

I have seen examples of these type of emulators that boot up pretty quickly. So it should not have to take ten minutes. I tested alpine on docker last week, not so bad.

Well you know what I want. An emulator that boots up quickly and where I can save the state and preconfigure/customize the virtual device.
