Display hats only on focused window in VSCode

As a new user I would find it beneficial to only show hats on my focused window. As someone who codes with multiple VSCode panes open, it is a bit overwhelming that my primary window can sometimes have more penalized hat color/symbols. Any thoughts on this possible feature?

It wouldn't be too hard to implement, but VSCode's mechanism to detect which window is focused has been flaky for us in the past. But we haven't tried in a couple years so may have improved, and if it's an opt-in setting then probably ok?

Another new user here. I very much second this. I usually have two editors side-by-side in VSCode, and I find myself accidentally making edits in the non-active one when I get an utterance wrong or a word is misidentified.
