IG checks the write permission of the installed folder to decide where "ConfigDir" is.
If you run IG as admin, it has the write permission, so it will use the installed folder as ConfigDir |

Hello,
I'm aware there were changes with some of the versions of the application, but it seems I'm stuck with the very same situation, still.
I'm also aware of what is documented here about configuration files and the related file paths: https://imageglass.org/docs/app-configs.
Yet, the only way I can backup, restore and transfer the settings of the app is by replacing igconfig.json in the installation directory. The AppData directory ist completely ignored whatever I put there and how.
Is this the intended behaviour? It's pretty unusual these days for an application to save its configuration in this location. But since the alternative does not work at all, this is the only way possible as it seems.
The downside already is, that the configuration is lost each time I install a new version on top of the existing one.
Any help?
Best regards,
Tim
