Community presence and outreach

Establish visible presence in relevant communities to build social proof and attract contributors/partners. I absolutely need to practice presenting to others as it would be a great opportunity to get feedback and gather requirements on what the community needs.

Tasks

• Present at a local meetup or conference
• Post a project introduction on r/gis, r/opendata, or r/canada
• Reach out to newsletters about a feature
• Link any talks, articles, or external mentions from the D4C site

Notes

• One linkable talk or article does more for credibility than any design change
• Even informal community posts (Reddit, HN, Mastodon) generate backlinks and discussion
