Description
ClipKit's global shortcut (default ⌘⇧V) only works while the app is running. Users expect Windows-like behavior where a shortcut can summon the clipboard manager anytime.
Proposed Solution
Add a menu bar mode where ClipKit:
- Displays an icon in the menu bar
- Runs as a background agent (no Dock icon)
- Is always available via global shortcut
- Can be accessed via menu bar click as well
Current Workaround
Enable "Launch at Login" in Settings → General. This keeps ClipKit running so the global shortcut is always available.
References
This is the standard approach for clipboard managers like Paste, Maccy, Copyless, etc.
