inline correction format?

I've been trying to setup a script to automate pronunciation correction for my book, but I'm having trouble with the specific formatting of the replacements.

In the Kokoro documentation, the format is CorrectMe, but it isn't working when entered into the text box for my main character's name. The voice pronounces only some of the sounds in the string, some of which make no sense -- like [Juraira](/ʤˌuːɹˈIɹə/) gets pronounced as "wah" by the voice.

Is this not doable, or am I missing something?
