Two questions

Looking to finish up my modifications to the expanded trilogy, does anyone know if it's possible to change the cards players starts with in each of the games? There is a deck_#.txt file in each game, but I'm guessing that's used to revert deck to starting ones when an error in current deck occurs.

Second, what exactly does the AI option in the launcher exactly do? By that I mean the easy and hard option. Is it just ignoring low/high level decks or is there actually a difference in the AI behavior?

I have tried modifying the deck_y, deck_k and deck_j txt files and then wiping all the game registry (flcrc) and removing the Common folder, the result is the same, starting decks arre unchanged, I can't even find any reference to those txt files in the game exes.

About the ai: i have no idea if they work, but the parameters are integrated into the exe as start parameter. No one tested it out yet. But i could imagine that the AI behaves more aggresive when a certain level is reached ingame and the flags force it for all star levels.

Thx, I have noticed some differences in the AI behavior between games and versions.

Good example is the choice to attack facedown cards. In Yugi 1.0, the AI would attack them with their weakest card (probably if over certain ATK number.). To put it short, if it had a 1500ATK monster and a 2500ATK monster, it would attack with the 1500 one.

Then Yugi 2.0 and Kaiba swapped that out and the AI would choose to attack with the 2500ATK monster. While there are some benefits to both strategies, this one is statistically more effective I think.

Joey on the other hand again flipped that and returned to the Yugi 1.0 "rule". He attacks with the weaker monster.
