Suggestion for MODALS

I propose to add to the modals:

• Buttons
• Checkbox and Slidebox
• Selectmenus and 2 selectmenus in one row

Buttons don't make intuitive sense in a modal for a user or bot dev, and will likely have terrible UX.

Checkboxes and Slideboxes should be the same component (boolean component), with a different style.

Don't know about the 2 select menus per row, there's a reason Discord didn't let us do that for messages and I assume it would be the same for modals.

Okay, I understand, on the one hand it's a pity you won't add buttons, but on the other hand I understand it. But I think the rest of the stuff would be a very good proposition

Another idea: Scrollbars? Right now modals are limited to 5 rows which isn't nearly enough and I have to do weird, really bad UX, stuff to work around the issue (Send a button users click to get the next modal).

I'd also appreciate if there Selects would be brought back, because rn it's just terrible what I have to do without them.
There were working on desktop, then got pulled back because they didnt work on mobile (for whatever reason).

I don't think there should be any extra buttons in a modal, but you should be able to edit or add the submit buttons from the model...

Personally I completely agree, that modals should have dropdown menus. Although I wouldn't say it as nice, to make it in one row though.

My usecase for buttons is creating a configuration menu:

• I have a setting which needs an input where you can place 1 value, then confirm to add that, and continue within the "same" modal.
  • even better would be to make this a select list with a button, to confirm the selection from the list.
• I have settings that are toggles for different behavior, so having a toggle button is a must!

A separate usecase that is not covered in the OPs post:
I want to be able to prompt a user with a modal WITHOUT them having interacted with the bot. (this would most likely require a separate permission) My usecase: I have a votekick bot, a user wants to kick some one from a voice channel, instead of having everyone have to find the text channel based votekick prompt, it would be amazing if I could just create a modal for the relevant users, once a votekick is started. Obviously this could be used maliciously, but there could be limits to help prevent that.

What about modals with a Next button instead of a Submit button? That way Discord can still have it so there are only 5 rows per modal, without a scroll bar (which would be weird, in my opinion), but you can have a longer modal, because you have multiple pages?

Also, I absolutely agree on having checkboxes, and dropdown menus.
