Note: with recent versions of Firefox (I don't know when this was added), the special internal URL about:profiles will now show you all your Profiles and even allow you to launch one in a new browser. Without having to create a shortcut with the special options.

Another note, when importing an existing profile on a new computer: you want to create the new profile and name it first, before pointing to the existing directory. It appears that naming the profile "resets" the selected directory browse, so if you browse first, you end up not using the directory you browsed to, but creating a new one instead.
