Great help, but I noted one minor issue: it seems like \\ is turned into \ \, which is a bit inconvenient when you have lots of tables etc.

Similarly, paths seems to have spaces added ../figs/fig.eps becomes ../ figs / fig.eps. Not consistently though...

It should be noted that the LaTeX code I was trying to translate didn't use table and figure, but center and then tabular or includegraphics, so I guess that this is sort of a doubtful use case. Still, \\ seems to turn into \ \ if used to force a line break (in general bad, yes, but sometimes needed).
