Thanks for the report. First, would you be able to reproduce the issue in DuckDB only by any chance? Or this only happens when you use the extension? Second, you may share as much information here as you can as long as you are ok with them being public. For the one you prefer to remain private, you can contact one of us on DuckDB's discord (I'm |

As you can see from my questions I am a pretty unsophisticated user.
I am not doing anything weird with massive tables. Just following the instructions of a youtube SQL training. Small tables, small scripts.
I resolve the exercises one by one and then compare solutions in the UI.
Repeatedly after some hours of work, gnome would crash killing all my processes and eventually, once, the whole system went under. I am using ubuntu 24.04, fully updated and duckdb 1.2.1. Firefox as browser.
My computer has 16Gb of ram and 16Gb of swap.
There is no way on earth any of my queries should consume more than a few Mb.........or I should say Kbs.....
See in pic duckdb with 24Gb memory use. Unthinkable.
Can you guys provide some guidance as to collect enough information to report a useful/informed issue ?
