Blofeld screen stuck - Write to patch...

Writing an edited patch back to Blofeld using MIDI > Write to patch...
Blofeld get stuck with a screen saying "Receiving sysex".
Patch gets written but Blofeld needs to be power cycled to get rid of screen.

Workaround: Since the edited patch is in the Blofeld edit buffer the patch can be written using Blofeld's own "Store sound..." instead.

That's a new one! What version of the Blofeld firmware are you using? What operating system?

Blofeld v1.25 (w. SL license)
macOS 14.6.1
Usb connected directly to computer (Mac Mini Pro m2)

• Request Current patch
• Make an edit
• Write to patch -> Screen gets stuck on Blofeld

I get it every time, regardless of selected patch slot to write to.
Also tried another cable, no difference.

Saving the patch as sysex and send it from Sysex Librarian, screen appears but closes after a few seconds. Not getting stuck.

EDIT: I upgraded to latest Blofeld firmware but it makes no difference.

There is a known Blofeld bug. If you write a patch, then do a Bank Change and a Program Change, then the Blofeld will put up its "Receiving SysEx" screen and forget to take it down. You can make it take it down by doing a few things, but one easy one is to request the current patch again. That's what Edisyn is doing. I hope not to have to do something more drastic, it works well on my Blofeld.

But it sounds like your Blofeld is ignoring this. The FIRST thing I would do is update the firmware. The current firmware is 1.25.

Then grab a copy of MIDI Monitor (it's free), and set it up to observe output from Edisyn to the Blofeld. What messages does MIDI Monitor think Edisyn is sending? It should be sending: (1) a 392-byte patch dump, including F7 at the end, (2) A bank change, CC 32, (3) a Program change, PC, (4) and finally a 9-byte sysex patch request. Are you getting all these?

Fw 1.25, same behaviour.
No nine byte Sysex at the end. This is sent according to Snoize Midi Monitor:

• Sysex Waldorf 392 bytes
• Control message 32
• Program Change

Requesting the patch again closes the screen on Blofeld so that's the best workaround currently.
