Currently elastic-package appears to make no check for satisfaction of kibana version constraints specified by the package's manifest. This can lead to confusing results when, for example, the default stack lags behind the current public (or development) stack version if there are differentials in behaviour between the running and expected stack. I would suggest that this constraint be optional but opt-out.
