For a lot of my subscription services, I may be paying monthly, say $5/month, but that price is good until date x (say a year). At the end of the year, the price might go up, e.g. to $8/month.

I don't necessarily need monthly notifications for the $5/month, but I would like a notification before it goes up to $8/month so I know to cancel or reassess promotions.

I believe this is good overall as many subscriptions, especially during the holidays are "one year for $xx" or "six months $xx"

what would be nice is a "promotional pricing" flag (check box) that would then just have

  • Promotion Start: mm/dd/yyyy
  • Promotion End: mm/dd/yyyy
  • Promotion Price: $xxx.xx
  • Send Notification before promotion ends: Checkbox
  • Notification date: Number of days before the end to notify

This would also allow you to set the base price on the service and then the promotional pricing would be able to calculate and SHOULD also show in all the lists that the pricing is promotional with an asterisk or make it green showing it's discounted etc.
