can you please take a look at the following issue ?

I could provide some help to this project (of course not all the points
you listed, by at least one of them)
to the extent that we will be able to use this library in our platform (within the user's browser)
since we want to use the imap api as long as it actually avoids
to send the password to our server, and in this sense it is absolutely
safe.
