Small version of LLVM 14 artifact - only 16 MB (instead of 200 MB)

• Shrink LLVM artifact to minimal size rust-build#63

I get it for ldproxy and espmonitor but why do we need the bindgen binary?

• Merged PRs from community contributors:
  • Fixes parsing multiple features from the --features option Fix parsing for multiple features espflash#162

• Attempted to build release artifacts for Raspberry Pi, failed miserably, gave up.
  • There are multiple issues open in the libudev-sys repository reporting problems when cross-compiling for the Raspberry Pi.
  • Open issue: Build release artifacts for the Raspberry Pi espflash#170
• Will likely publish a new release today or tomorrow

esp-rust-board-bsp

• Created a board support package for the ESP Rust Board

• Intent is to include all necessary dependencies as well as some utilities to improve developer experience
• Still needs some examples and further refinement, nothing to drive the addressable LED yet

miscellaneous

• Implemented a minimal driver in esp-hal for the USB_SERIAL_JTAG peripheral which implements core::fmt::Write
• Merged a number of pull requests from community contributors in serialport-rs:
  • Request exclusive access when opening a posix serialport by default: serialport/serialport-rs#44
  • Set port timeout to a non-zero value before performing loopback test. serialport/serialport-rs#45
  • Upgrade nix to 0.24.1, limit features serialport/serialport-rs#46
  • Add serde support behind a feature flag serialport/serialport-rs#51
• Released new SVDs for all devices including patches for the RMT peripheral
  • Also switched from the Python version of svdtools to the Rust version, which resulted in a lot of small (but inconsequential) changes

esp-rs image

• Image clean-up, tag sizes are smaller now
• SergioGasquez/esp-rs-container will be moved to esp-rs/rust-build
• sergiogasquez/esp-rs-env will be moved to espressif/idf-rust
  • We are still uncertain about tag names, having self-explanatory tag names would be really useful, every tag is a combination of:
    • Esp-Idf version: v4.4, v5.0, v4.3.2
    • Boards installed in esp-idf: esp32, esp32c3, esp32s2, esp32s3 or all
    • Rust Xtensa toolchain (Only present in some tags)
    • Rust nightly toolchain (Only present in some tags)
  • We could use something like: <esp-idf>_<boards>_<xtensa>_<nigthly>. Egs: v4.4-all-1.60.0.1-nightly, v5-all-nightly.
    • Any suggestions or feedback?

Devcontainers future improvements

• Flashing methods for devcontainers:
  • ESP Web Tools
  • Flash from Wokwi

I've taken a brief look at the riscv-embassy-mess-work project and there really are not many changes made to the existing code. As I recall the embassy-macros had only a single file modified, embassy had minimal modifications, and they used the esp32c3-hal package from esp-hal (again with minimal modifications). I'm hoping to get a cleaned-up version of this working sometime in the next week or two.
