Posted at 2015-06-08 by @gfwilliams Strange - sorry about that, I'm not sure how the tutorial was left unfinished. I'll make sure I update it tomorrow. Yes, it's almost certainly the capacitor. You want it across the power wires to the LEDs, so if you're using breadboard as in the tutorial, just stick it in the two power rails, making sure plus and minus are in the right way around. |

Aaah whoops...
3rd attempt!
As I just deleted my original post with an update...
Ok in short plugging in the board all lights blue..
Download the program and the lights begin to flicker. I wondered if this is where the Capacitor would come in handy but it's never mentioned where it's to be used. At the end of the tutorial it has "If your LEDs flicker initially, I'm afraid this will be because your" but the sentence never finishes :(
Weird just checked with my second Pico board and that doesn't seem to have as severe issue (occasional flicker).
