Hello @poojaranjan , I would like share a few updates on the things that we discussed in the previous EIPIP meeting related to our website EIPsInsight.

Hello @poojaranjan we have also raised a pr on the EIPs github repository for adding our proposal builder tool to eips.ethereum.org header, Could you add it as well so that i can request the editors for considering that.

Summary

  • EIP-2565 is in stagnant which should not be receiving typo fixes.

  • Author proposing changes to Ethereum mainnet. Proposal is waiting to be merged as Draft.
  • Gajinder: The proposal suggests that the validators on chain would signal when is the time to upgrade. It feels less likely to be added on the mainnet with current specs. It seems under-specified.
  • Question - should we discuss the feasibility before merging?
  • Sam: As editors, we shouldn't be making decisions on the technical viability of the proposal and should merge and give a number.
  • Even though the specification can be specified in Draft or Review status, this particular EIP need specification. As an editor, it is important to evaluate the feasibility of the proposal.
  • To Do: Gajinder will add the comment to specify the missing details in order to merge this proposal.
• can we have a tag that we can add to EIP: active consideration to prevent EIPs from being pulled in stagnent?
  • Even if the Bot's stangnat PR is closed, the EIP is merged as Stagnant.
  • There are various EIPs that are bounced from one to another upgrade with no change in the EIP. These are in active consideration so it shouldn't be made Stagnant.
  • To Do: Considering this is the case for many Core EIPs, Sam will look into alternatives to stop the Stagnant bot from merging these EIPs. This will be discussed in the next meeting.
