Issue Description
Future of Custom Gas Tokens and Superchain Integration
Is it true that OP Stack plans to drop support for custom gas tokens in the future? I heard this from a RAAS developer, but I couldn’t find any official documentation confirming it. What will happen to the existing testnets using custom gas tokens? Can they still move forward to mainnet deployment?
Additionally, blockchains like Celo and Automata, which support altDA and custom gas tokens, have listed tokens with real value.
Both Celo and Automata are currently listed in the Superchain indexer (registry) under Stage 0. Does this indicate any future potential for them within the Superchain ecosystem?
Furthermore, the current Superchain registry does not allow OP Stack chains that were not deployed using op-deployer. Our OP Stack deployment uses EigenDA and custom gas tokens, but we did not use op-deployer.Does this mean our chain cannot be included in the Superchain registry? is there any alternate way for adding my chain Superchain registry?
