Table of content title

[ced75]

Hi,

Is it possible to modify the table of content title, which by default is set to "On this page"?
How can I achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

No, there is no setting for it. "On this page" is a hardcoded string in the table-of-contents component, and the layout exposes no prop for it. The only built-in control is hiding the whole table of contents:

---
hide_toc: true
---

That is page frontmatter in Evidence 40 (hideTOC on EvidenceDefaultLayout does it project-wide). The new CLI-based Evidence has the same fixed label, with table_of_contents: false in page frontmatter or layout.table_of_contents in evidence.config.yaml as the toggle. Checked on @evidence-dev/core-components 5.4.2 and on Evidence main as of 2026-09-30.

• Evidence 40: ContentsList.svelte, hide_toc in the layout
• current Evidence: TableOfContents.svelte, page settings
