Supported Clouds

IBM Cloud

Lithops is officially supported for IBM Cloud and Red Hat OpenShift. Students or academic stuff are welcome to follow IBM Academic Initiative, a special program that allows free trial of IBM Cloud for Academic institutions. This program is provided for students and faculty staff members, and allow up to 12 months of free usage. You can register your university email and get a free of charge account.

Currently, Lithops for IBM Cloud supports these backends:

Compute Storage
IBM Cloud Functions IBM Cloud Object Storage
IBM Code Engine  
IBM Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)  

Amazon Web Services

Amazon Web Services offers reliable, scalable, and inexpensive cloud computing services. Free to join, pay only for what you use. These cloud computing web services provide a variety of basic abstract technical infrastructure and distributed computing building blocks and tools.

Currently, Lithops for AWS supports these backends:

Compute Storage
AWS Lambda AWS S3
AWS Batch  
AWS Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2)  

Google Cloud

Google Cloud Platform (GCP), offered by Google, is a suite of cloud computing services. It provides a series of modular cloud services including computing, data storage, data analytics and machine learning. Google Cloud Platform provides infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, and serverless computing environments.

Currently, Lithops for Google Cloud Platform supports these backends:

Google Cloud Functions Google Cloud Storage
Google Cloud Run  

Microsoft Azure

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers. The Azure cloud platform is more than 200 products and cloud services. It provides software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and supports many different programming languages, tools, and frameworks, including both Microsoft-specific and third-party software and systems.

Currently, Lithops for Microsoft Azure supports these backends:

Azure Functions Azure Blob Storage

Alibaba Aliyun

Alibaba Cloud, also known as Aliyun, provides cloud computing services to online businesses and Alibaba's own e-commerce ecosystem. Alibaba Cloud offers cloud services that are available on a pay-as-you-go basis, and include Elastic Compute, Data Storage, Relational Databases, Big-Data Processing, Anti-DDoS protection and Content Delivery Networks.

Currently, Lithops for Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun) supports these backends:

Kubernetes & On-premise

Automated container deployment, scaling, and management Kubernetes, also known as K8s, is an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. It groups containers that make up an application into logical units for easy management and discovery.

Currently, Lithops for Kubernetes and On-Premise supports these backends:
