working with ipv6 addresses, void records

Hello,
we have recently activated ipv6 on our mail server and we are getting reports from customers, that their incoming email gets rejected because of Maximum void DNS look-ups limit (2) exceeded .

It's described in this debian bug report:

I tried to download latest commit from this repository and test with spfquery and it still misbehaves. Is there some solution to this problem?

After more digging, it's probably not bug in library but the way, how it works.

For example, if you have domain with spf
v=spf1 mx a:hostname-with-ip4-only a:hostname-with-ip4-only2 -all

and email comes from ipv6 host, the two a records cannot get resolved to ipv6 and are declared as void
