[FEATURE REQUEST]: Daily Notes facility

Would it be possible to include a Daily Notes facility as seen in Obsidian or Logseq?

This could be accomplished by either using a specific category under Notes or Checklists, or even perhaps given its own section?

Sorry I don't use Obsidian or Logseq, how does this work?
There's a setting in Jotty that allows you to quickly create a note with the current timestamp as title in a category you decide, is that what you are looking for?

It essentially does that. It creates a note with the date as a title in a specific directory determined by the date. The file structure looks a bit like this

Daily Notes
     |-----> 2025
             |------> April
                            |------ 01
                            |------ 02
                            |------ etc etc

Where is the setting you mentioned? I had a look and couldn't see it. Probably looking for the wrong thing!

Oh I see, the jotty setting doesn't do that, no, not sure how easily achievable this is with how Jotty works, but I'll have a play when I'm back at full capacity ❤️

Ahh found it! Yeah, that's pretty much the same thing.

The only things I'd suggest would be limiting the timestamp to YYYY-MM-DD (or giving the option). The directory thing is only in Obsidian, Logseq just dumps all the "daily notes" or "journal" pages in a Journals category (which equates to a directory on the filesystem).

No rush though! It was just a suggestion 😃
