This is easy enough to do, however I'm not sure if I want to do it, as it immediately defies the whole purpose of having a created/edited date on something 😆

That said, it's your own files so it's not that big of a deal, I'll think it through for a bit and decide, no promises ❤️

Speaking of which: what method do you use to index notes in the webview? Do they just go by the creation date in the metadata of the file? Can I edit such date externally to rearrange notes in Jotty or does Jotty keep track of these data internally?

Well that's the thing, CURRENTLY, jotty just reads the actual file creation/edit time as there's no database, the only way to change it the way notion does would be to store the values in the front matter like we do for any other metadata value.

The webview indexes things by date/time if I remember correctly, it's all read on the fly when scanning the system and cached, every action that triggers a websocket event clears the cache for that category, so to keep things always fresh and not having stale data.

You can only edit the date/time by actually editing the files, currently.

This is the main reason why I am a little adamant on allowing edit of it, as I'd need to find a clean way to do it (I have a few ideas in mind). The at a glance view is easy enough and can be done, just need to figure out where in the UI is acceptable to do so ♥️
