Few issues with the player and saving the label

Hi,

I am trying to use Speechalyzer and Labeltool to annotate large number of audio files. However I am facing several issues with it.

1. What's the best way to use it with an external player because the default player doesnt allow you to change speed or go back/forward. There is an option to use mplayer but that has the same problems.

2. Sometimes, even after an audio is paused, when the next audio is played the paused audio and the new audio both start playing simultaneously. It may also be a player issue so if we can use an external player, it may not be a problem anymore.

3. The files being edited sometimes don't get saved even after pressing enter. Generally if you go to a different file and then go back and edit and save it, its saved right away. So not really sure what the problem is here.

I know its not an active project at the moment but any idea/help/suggestions about these matters would be greatly appreciated.

hi Naz, thanks for using Speechalyzer. I'll be away until May but will look into it then.
It should be possible to use any Media player that accepts soundfiles as a commandline argument via the config file. Which os are you on and which player do you want to use?

Hi, Thanks for the prompt reply. The speechalyzer is running on MAC. But the people who are using the labeltool client are using Windows. I am thinking about using musikcube since that seems to have most of the functionalities that I need, but I still need to test it more before deciding which one to use. I can definitely use a separate player for listening to the audio and get people to do the transcription using labeltool. But it gets a little too complicated for the transcribers. So I was wondering if there is an easier solution.
