Feature: Included .NET in the isntall package

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

Just pruchased Files, nowhere does it state..at least no that I could see, that I needed to isntall Windows. NET

I purchased/installed on my work machine and do not have Admin privileges.

This should have been included in the install package....

So, please include .NET in the install package for those of us that do not have Admin Privilages

@drewauff thank you for your feedback. I understand the issue you're facing, but I don't know of a solution right now..

The reason we don't bundle the .net runtime with Files is because it's quite large. For users with multiple versions of Files (eg. stable, preview), it takes up even more space. Additionally, many devices already have the runtime installed.

seems if you use a stand alone installer you have to reboot..just did this, still receiving the "error"

this is according to dotnet --info in terminal

Files uses .NET 10. According to the docs, you can set the version in the install script.

I tried but I received error stating it can download 10.0

maybe its a syntax thing?
