[FR]: Please provide Code in Swift UIKit too

Description

I'm facing issues while doing same in Swift UIKit. I found no help from Firebase docs or github repos because all are given Swift UI code. Please provide one repo or docs regarding Swift UIKit.

Can you provide more details of what you are trying to do with UIKit?

The generated SDKs are compatible with UIKit. The Observable Query Refs are the only ones specific to SwiftUI but both also provide Combine publishers that can be used in UIKit.

Executing a query / mutation are async and usable in UIKit from within from an async context -

let result = try await DataConnect.myConnector.listMovies.execute()

let createResult = try await DataConnect.myConnector.createReview.execute(...)

Using the Combine publishers ->
Get the associated QueryRef and call subscribe()

DataConnect.itemsConnector.listItemsSimpleQuery.ref().subscribe().sink { result in

I tried this already but got this error. Although its working fine when run these queries via terminal.

Can you check if your queries and mutations are deployed to the cloud? If emulator - the deployment is automatic but ensure you are using the emulator using the useEmulator() call otherwise it will try to reach the cloud apis by default.

If you are using Visual Studio code or Data Connect tools,

Data Connect creates an API endpoint for every defined operation - queries and mutations once these are deployed to the cloud. The Gen SDKs automatically call these endpoints as part of the execution.

However, although the SDK generation is a local generation, the operations must be deployed to cloud for them to be available to the SDK.
