GEOM surface Boundary values extraction

Dear FDS users,

• Is it possible to extract GEOM surface boundary data in ascii format ? Ex; AST, guage heatflux, Cp etc.
• Is it possible to Time average the boundary data on GEOM surface inside smokeview ? or fds2ascii ? Presently i am unable to find that feature in both smokeview and fds2ascii.
• Is it possible to get fds2fmti.exe file to transfer the data in readable format for further FEA analysis. I tried to build it in windows by compiling fds sources , but unable to succeed . If the FDS developers compiled it successfully for windows then they may release it in the standard release as utilities.

Hi, To compile fds2ftmi, use the compiling instructions within the fds2ftmi folder: make "operationalsystem". You can find a windows version at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzJEIogPt2TyfnFERGNQNFVnWXJ4aXd5bFRhRzNDSktSN1o1dERFT3ZwaHJxNkM1T0ZMeXc?resourcekey=0-d5AdP45Gi4TWutPNUXz9rg&usp=drive_link This old version does not work with GEOM surfaces. If you got the latest FDS from GitHub, you will see that fds2ftmi is now a python script. This new version extracts results from GEOMs and writes them in Ansys format or a plain csv format. It was built to provide AST (and h) to recreate the boundary conditions in the FEA analysis. Thank you for your clarification. Managed to run the verification test case using Python code from the latest FDS release. For time averaging the fluxes on GEOM surfaces , I will explore pycfdtools.
