Out of the box the search field does not really stand out in the extension manager UI. It actually took me initially scrolling down and back up and down again to finally discover this element as an actual input field:
I would suggest to remove the "FormControl-alt" class from this search input field as that's what currently adds the white background which makes it blend into the background.
Result of the class removed:
"Version" is v2.0.0-rc.1
