[epic] v0.2: Launch, grow, measure #67

Description

@rufuspollock

Successor to the v0.1 epic (#46, closed with full summary). Plan: docs/plans/v0.2.md. Conventions: AGENTS.md in the repo; inbox #45; review log #57.

🚀 New session? Start here

Paste-able kickoff prompt for a fresh Claude Code session in this repo:

Read AGENTS.md (auto-loaded via CLAUDE.md), then this epic (#67) including recent comments, and the review log #57's last entry. Pick up the next unblocked item below — currently: remaining comparison pages (markdown vs Word/rich text first), then Everywhere P2 spokes. Work act-first per AGENTS.md: voice skill + lint on all prose, log the session to #57, tick items here, keep chat summaries short with detail in issues. If Rufus has completed any "Rufus-only" step below (giscus app, analytics ID, launch window open), those unlock: comments verification, analytics config, launch execution respectively.

⏸ Rufus-only steps (everything else queues behind these)

  • Install the giscus app on this repo (~2 min → comments go live; all IDs already configured)
  • Analytics: choose GA4 or Umami, provide ID
  • Launch window: say go → execute docs/launch/launch-plan.md (Search Console → HN → Reddit → social); interview emails ready to personalise & send
  • Check if Flowershow plan includes custom social images (OG card ready at assets/og/default.png)
  • Skims flagged in [log] Review log — things Claude did that may want a later check #57: notion-vs-markdown claims, /about bio, tutorial 3 UI labels

1. Launch & measure

  • Execute launch kit (blocked: Rufus window) — then first-week monitoring
  • Analytics live (blocked: Rufus choice)
  • Post-launch: content iteration from Search Console query data

2. Growth content (unblocked — next up)

  • Comparison: Notion vs Markdown (/notion-vs-markdown)
  • Comparison: markdown vs Word/rich text ← next
  • Comparisons: Confluence; Evernote
  • Everywhere P2 spokes: Substack, Gmail, Word, Confluence, Bear/iA, VS Code, converter pages ([plan] Content strategy: Markdown Everywhere series + use-case guides #59)
  • ❤-Markdown badges (/badges) — [ ] adoption push post-launch
  • Publish interviews as they land (after outreach)

3. Interactive v2

4. Community

  • Comments live (blocked: giscus app) — then seed Discussions
  • "Who's flying it" badge list once adopters exist

5. v0.1 carryovers

State snapshot (2026-07-18)

Site: ~82 pages live at wayofmarkdown.com. Landing hero + raw→rendered demo, visual roadmap (32 nodes, data-generated), playground, blog+RSS, brand CSS, about/footer/bylines, canon/timeline, 13 full guides, 12 Everywhere spokes, glossary/git-rescue, launch kit staged in docs/launch/. Voice system enforced (skill + lint). All checks green.
