If you apply to high of a voltage to the charging volt (I applied 20.5 V instead of the regular 19.5 Volt) some sort of protection kicks in at the BMS, that disabled booting from the battery when not plugged in. This protection is disabled for some reason when health mode is disabled.
So for the past year I've not been able to boot from battery, but recently I disabled health mode for another reason and noticed I can boot again from battery. Re-enabling health mode triggers the issue again.
My exact model is the: Acer Aspire 5 A515-45G-R5A1
This is more of a warning/notice to others and not really the fault of this library. Although perhaps a warning would of some sort could be included.
