Function Signature

const inc = (n: number) => number
const dec = (n: number) => number

Motivation

It comes in handy to increase or decrease numbers when counting, so we can pass these functions as a callback.

const [count, setCount] = useState(0)

useEffect(() => {
  let interval = setInterval(() => setCount(dec), 1000);
  // cleanup
})

return <button onClick={() => setCount(inc)}>Increase<button>
