An update is needed to ensure seamless integration with Realtek. There is approximately a 1-second delay in the audio of all programs except the browser. Please release this update as soon as possible. There is no other application that enhances sound quality more than FxSound, but it has become unusable due to this issue.

Hi @shtwon ,

Thanks for raising this issue! Personally, I don't experience any latency with FXSound, so this might be specific to your setup. A couple of things you can try to reduce or eliminate the delay:

1. Update Realtek Drivers

Ensure your Realtek audio drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause latency issues when paired with enhancement apps like FXSound.

2. Adjust Buffer Settings

FXSound and your audio device might have buffer settings that can cause delay. Lowering the buffer size could help, though it might require some trial and error to get the perfect balance.

3. Disable Other Audio Enhancements

If you’re using other audio enhancement tools or if Realtek has its own enhancements active, they could conflict with FXSound. Try disabling those to see if it resolves the issue.

Let me know if any of these help!

After disabling the speaker noise cancellation for calls in the Realtek settings, the problem was slightly solved. Still, I would love to see the day when it works directly through realtek and not as a virtual device. I hope there will be developments about this in the future. Thanks for your reply.

Hi @Silvermax1975

Currently, FXSound does not allow users to manually adjust the buffer size within its app settings. The buffer size is managed internally by the software to balance performance and audio quality, depending on the system and device configurations.

However, if you're facing latency or stuttering issues and believe adjusting the buffer size would help, you can:

Check Audio Driver Settings:

  • Some audio drivers or interfaces (like Realtek or Focusrite) have buffer size options. You can access these via their control panels.

Experiment with Windows Audio Settings:

  • Open the Sound Control Panel (Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound).
  • Select your playback device, go to Properties > Advanced, and adjust the default format (sample rate/bit depth). A lower rate might reduce delay.

Run FXSound as Admin:

  • This can sometimes help mitigate audio issues related to buffer sizes indirectly.

Alternative Software:

  • If your system requires customizable buffer sizes, you might consider alternatives like Equalizer APO or Voicemeeter, which provide manual control over audio processing.

Let me know if you need help navigating these settings!
