Hi @pssln

The problem you’re describing, where FXSound seems to interfere with the built-in microphone on your headphones, might be due to how FXSound interacts with audio devices. Here are a few suggestions to try:

Check Audio Input Settings:

  • Go to Sound Settings in Windows.
  • Under Input, make sure your headphone's microphone is selected as the default input device.
  • You can also test the microphone here to confirm it's working.

Exclude Microphone Input in FXSound:

  • FXSound is designed to enhance audio output, not input. Ensure the microphone isn't being processed as part of the output devices in FXSound.
  • If FXSound has options related to device management, see if there's a way to disable enhancements for the input device.

Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your headphones and built-in microphone.
  • Restart your system after the reinstall to ensure proper functionality.

Run Troubleshooter:

  • Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters and run the Recording Audio troubleshooter.

Disable FXSound for Testing:

  • Temporarily disable FXSound and see if the microphone starts working as expected.
  • If it does, it’s likely FXSound is interfering with the audio input, in which case you might need to exclude it.

Run FXSound as Admin:

  • Sometimes running FXSound as an administrator ensures proper permissions and avoids unintended conflicts.

If you continue to experience issues, let me know, and we can dive deeper into device-specific settings or other potential conflicts!
