I am making a video about the iPhone 12 camera. I am sure the camera on the iPhone 12 will be tested to exhaustion by the various tech sites and tech YouTubers. So I thought I would do something different. I have taken an Android phone, with a good camera, from 4 years ago and done a side-by-side shootout with the iPhone 12. Can you tell which is which? Has camera tech changed much over 4 years?
Caveats: Both phones in auto. HDR is on auto for both devices. Photos are taken directly from the devices. No editing by me. I kept file conversions etc to a minimum. However, inevitably there has been some. There are lots of other features of cameras including video, night/low-light capture, portrait modes, etc, etc, that are not tested here.
