Attention! Looking for a maintainer!

Hey folks, I have no time to maintain this library. If anyone wants to take over, I'm ready to give commit access.

One condition: a pull request solving a bug or adding a feature. Send a meaningful PR and I'll give you commit access.

I would be OK to help maintain the package, but as I already maintain a number of other packages for which I'm struggling having enough time, and considering I'm not a JS expert, I'd prefer not to be the main maintainer.

I'm actually surprised that this library have attracted such attention at all... for me it was just a 30-mintues or so fork of bootstrap-4 lib just to make it work on bootstrap 5, and then I decided, why not sharing it, maybe it'll be helpful for someone else.

Given the amount of reported issues, even some PRs and stars, it surprisingly became somewhat popular and I'd be glad for any help at all at maintaining it. Certainly the current situation when I don't respond at all for people's requests (I just really don't have time nor interest tbh) and they keep coming and coming, is not well.

So, I'm inviting anyone who's willing to maintain it and give it proper care!

Hi @gch1p, I discovered this little utility today, as it seems to be the only one with a reasonable number of ⭐ and targetting Bootstrap v5 specifically. I've been experimenting with adding a getData handler to allow remote data fetching, and also fixing what I believe is a little bug here, when lookup is not found AND its length is longer than the item (the hilighting wraps up wrongly in that case). With the remote fetch, the debouncing PR is also pretty much a must.

So if you do not have already anyone to do it, and you are ok with the idea of adding remote fetching, I could consider the maintainership of this repo.

Idk, I guess, whatever actual users want. Just treat it as if it was your project.

I just didn't have time for that. I'm perfectly okay with the feature itself.

Not sure what status you gave me (I cannot see anything anywhere related to it), but it's quite possible that I won't receive any notification when there is something happening in this repo, though.
