This agreement is between you ("You") and the maintainer of DRE, GitHub user @allenhori ("the Maintainer"), and covers every Contribution You submit to the DRE project at https://github.com/get-dre/dre, now or later.
- Contribution: any work of authorship (code, documentation, or anything else) that You intentionally submit to the project, for example as a pull request, a patch, or an issue comment containing code.
- Submit: to send in any form to the project or the Maintainer, including through GitHub.
You keep the copyright in Your Contributions. You grant the Maintainer, and anyone who receives software distributed by the Maintainer, a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense and distribute Your Contributions and derivative works of them.
This includes the right for the Maintainer to license Your Contributions under any license, open source or commercial, in addition to the license the project is published under.
You grant the Maintainer, and anyone who receives software distributed by the Maintainer, a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, sell, offer to sell, import and otherwise transfer Your Contributions, alone or combined with the project, where the license covers only the patent claims You can license that Your Contribution necessarily infringes.
- Each Contribution is Your original work, or You say in the Contribution where it came from and under what license.
- You have the right to grant these licenses. If Your employer has rights in work You create, You have their permission to contribute, or they have waived those rights.
- To the best of Your knowledge, Your Contributions don't infringe anyone else's rights.
- You will tell the Maintainer if any of this stops being true.
You provide Your Contributions "as is", without warranties of any kind. The Maintainer isn't required to use any Contribution. Nothing else in this agreement transfers any rights.
