Whisper.cpp apps/repos for real-time transcription that can be used in place of dictation without copy-paste or recording and then transcribing?

Do any real time transcription apps that use whisper with the capability to replace dictation exist?

The reason I ask is because in clamshell mode my mac will not allow me to use dictation with an external mic, so I use either whisper.cpp in the CLI or more frequently the whisper transcription app, both which require uploading a saved file and then manually copy pasting the transcription rather than typing my words directly into the text box like with dictation.

For reference, I have an M2 Max MBP. Any advice appreciated - thanks!
