Changing Event Types and Note Types

Hi everyone!

I just noticed (with thhe most recent version) that I cannot change the type of events. I accidentially created a wedding when i needed a death and now I cannot edit that. When I change the settign it "saves" the object but the type remains the old one.

Same appllies to notes. But there in the interface even before saving it reverts the item from the dropdown menu to the old value immediately.

Is it just an issue with my setup or possibly a bug?

That would be a serious regression, but I cannot reproduce it - nearly locally nor on demo.grampsweb.org.

Can you double-check & paste your version info and look at the outgoing request in the browser dev tools (F12), network tab?

Thanks, that narrows it down considerably, but I can't find a code change that could explain this regression.

Perhaps it's a browser bug. Can you try with Chrome/Firefox?

If it persists, can you share a screencap?

Here in chrome:

Hmmm. So I double checked in Incognito mode. It really appears to be a UI bug where selecting things by mouse from the dropdown does not register properly. Only when I press "T" for "Tod" on the keyboard then it switches to the value and keeps it.

PS: On Edge (I usually never use that) it works fine...

I see the issue, but I still cannot reproduce it on Firefox or Chromium 153.0 on Linux. Weird...

OK, thanks for trying to pinpoint the problem. I'll just keep using Edge the for Gramps Web until Chrome Updates resolve that issue. Thanks!
