Hi, I'm trying to set the integration up but I'm seeing this error in the logs.

This error originated from a custom integration.

Same issue here. Also tried two warmup integrations for another platform (hubitat) and they also fail to get a token. Has warmup changed the authentication process?

Warmup does not appear to be a 'tech-driven' organisation, and changes to their platform are rather rare. I still have the same configuration.yaml settings

climate:
  - platform: warmup
    username: !secret warmup_username
    password: !secret warmup_password

and my sensors continue to work with no issues, and I can see no errors in my logs. I may be using an older version of HA that you, but the warmup API seems to still be working for me as it was before.

The authentication is not token-based, it relies on a (less secure) old-fashioned username and password that need to be configured. Please see the read me or docs or other issues if you are struggling to set those parameters up.

This was caused by confusion on my part. I have Warmup thermostats rebranded by Laticrete. They were all managed in their portal at mystrataheat.com. The setup instructions said to create an account at my.warmup.com, which I did, and then transferred the thermostats from strataheat to warmup, thinking ha-warmup would only see them there. I used the same username for both the Laticrete and Warmup sites, with different passwords. I configured ha-warmup with the password for the Warmup site, and it kept failing. When I instead configured with the password for the Laticrete site, it worked. I've transferred all of my thermostats back to the Laticrete mystrata site and all is working as expected. Warmup must manage both sites and can differentiate the identical usernames based on which site I log into, but the API was not able to.

Many thanks for your useful report that this ha-warmup integration can work with the rebranded STRATA_HEAT Wi-Fi Thermostat, and the recommendation to connect them via mystrataheat.com or the MySTRATA_HEAT app.

Hello,

I can confirm I am encountering the exact same issue with the Warmup integration in my Home Assistant setup. The login to the Warmup API is failing, even though the server returns a 200 OK status code.

Here is my environment and configuration:

• Home Assistant Version: 2025.10.0 (Home Assistant OS)
• Warmup Integration Version: 2024.3.6 (via HACS)
• Functionality Status:
• Logging in with the same credentials to the official Warmup App works without any issues.
• The thermostat (4iE/6iE) is online and connected to the Warmup Cloud.
• The issue persists even after removing all invalid YAML options (name, location, room).

My configuration.yaml (minimal):

    password: MY_PASSWORD

This error suggests that the API response body is not providing the expected Access Token.

Hi @toolted-github could you please review the comments immediately preceding yours. If you use a rebranded thermostat, then you must register the device using the appropriate portal FOR that brand. Could you please confirm what is that brand of your thermostat, and which app or portal did you use to register it?
