Trouble installing XSpear

Hello i am ethical hacker searching for vulnerabilities and i am looking for alternatives to find these bugs which are hard to find. I am having trouble installing this application to aide me in finding XSS.

I use terminator to install and use these commands: gem install XSpear

I get this error message: ERROR: While executing gem ... (Errno::EACCES)
Permission denied @ rb_sysopen - /dev/null

If there is a reason for this any information to help me would be greatly appreciated thank you
