Svelte Native is NOT Dead?! #361
Comments
Hi @chadsteele I know that @farfromrefug has stepped up to help here as have I (#359 (comment)). We've reached out to @halfnelson on publishing rights for these packages. If needed, we could scope them to help with some updates. @halfnelson has done tremendous job here. |
@chadsteele @NathanWalker yes i am maintaining it now. The project will live at https://github.com/nativescript-community/svelte-native. I will soon make a first release from there so we can all officially use it. svelte-native is 100% production ready and i have 5 apps in production using it. svelte-native only support svelte 4.x for now. we are waiting for the svelte team to support custom rendering in svelte 5 for us to be able to use it |
Thank you , please keep us up to date as this seems like a viable alternative compared to the current status quo (Which is either React Native or WebView wrappers). It sounds very interesting to me to build an App using this technology. 👏🏻 Btw: The main website doesn't seem to load for me... |
@lucrnz indeed the site is down ! @NathanWalker can we host it with Nativescript? Or maybe even github pages... Here are a few example apps using svelte-native |
I come here because i am tired using react native, can't wait svelte 5 support. |
It can be hosted with NativeScript @farfromrefug |
The website is currently not loading for me |
@dhalucario @farfromrefug @lucrnz @chadsteele The site is up here: above may be resolving through dns for few hours from now but accessible also directly from here: Let us know if need anything else. |
It's not really in progress yet. I just created a request for it. If anyone would like to take a stab at it, please feel free |
Okay, it actually is in progress now 😁 If there are any requirements that Svelte Native would have for such an API please feel free to share on the issue |
Thanks all. Svelte Native's new home is at https://github.com/nativescript-community/svelte-native and |
Thank you @halfnelson for creating and guiding Svelte Native up until this point! @farfromrefug if you get a chance, it might be helpful to update the settings on the new repo to allow users to file issues |
I reall don't want to support zuckerberg and react native... Is there a better solution? I don't like the idea behind Capacitor either.
Did you lose steam? I so wish this project was being maintained.
